Health information calls for more care than most other data types, so this page lays out plainly what Hume Health Corp collects through humband.org and the Hume Health app, what it's used for, and what options are available to you.

1. Data We Collect

Provided by you

• Order details — your name, email, shipping address, and payment information — supplied when checking out or registering an account.
• Anything shared with our support team during a conversation.

Gathered by the wristband and app

• Biometric readings picked up by the Hume Band — heart rate, HRV, SpO2, skin temperature, sleep stages, movement — feeding the figures shown in the app, like Metabolic Momentum and biological age.
• Standard technical data — device model, app version, general usage trends — helping keep the service reliable.

2. Purposes Behind Collection

• Turning raw sensor data into the trends and insights the app presents.
• Handling order fulfillment, shipping logistics, and any return or warranty request.
• Responding to support inquiries and general questions.
• Improving sensor accuracy and algorithms over time, generally through de-identified or aggregated data.
• Sending order-related messages, and — strictly for those who've opted in — the occasional product update.

3. Ownership Stays With You

Every biometric reading collected by the Hume Band belongs to you. Export your complete history from the Hume Health app whenever you'd like, and if you'd prefer your account and its data erased entirely, contact support — deletion requests are handled within 30 days, aside from records (order history, for example) that we're legally required to keep.

4. Who Might Receive This Data

Personal health information is never sold. It's shared only under a narrow set of circumstances:

• Operational partners — payment processors, shipping carriers, cloud hosting providers — bound by agreements limiting their use of your data solely to that service.
• Legal requirements, where we're obligated to disclose information under a law, regulation, or valid legal order.
• A business sale, merger, or acquisition, should one take place, conducted under these same commitments.

5. Keeping Information Secure

Data is encrypted both in transit and at rest, following industry-standard practices, and internal access is restricted to team members who genuinely need it for their work. No system is completely risk-free, but given how sensitive health data is, we treat this responsibility seriously.

Nobody under 13 is part of our intended audience, and we don't set out to gather information from children. Believe a child's data has ended up with us? Reach out and we'll remove it.
